Aleria plans 8,640 Blackwell GPUs for 25MW US site

Aleria plans to expand the US build to 16,000 GPUs and calls the UAE Vera Rubin deployment one of the first in the region.

At a glance

  1. The 8,640 GPUs inside a 25MW shell, with a stated path to 16,000, set the power and cooling a landlord or lender is being asked to fund.
  2. The report notes that a company named Aleria Technologies LLC signed an agreement with Bitcoin miner Bitari in April 2026 to convert a cryptomining data center in Wheeler, Texas, into an AI facility.
  3. If the Wheeler facility is the 25MW site, Aleria's US compute would sit behind an interconnection Bitari has requested.

Aleria plans to install 8,640 Nvidia Blackwell Ultra GPUs at a 25MW US data center and 28 racks of DGX Vera Rubin NVL72 in the UAE, Data Center Dynamics reported Oct. 23.

Aleria plans to expand the US count to 16,000 GPUs, according to the report, and calls the UAE Vera Rubin deployment one of the first in the region.

The 8,640 GPUs inside a 25MW shell, with a stated path to 16,000, set the power and cooling a landlord or lender is being asked to fund. The report describes no offtake contract for either deployment and does not say which customers will use the US capacity.

The report notes that a company named Aleria Technologies LLC signed an agreement with Bitcoin miner Bitari in April 2026 to convert a cryptomining data center in Wheeler, Texas, into an AI facility. It does not state whether that facility is the 25MW site.

If the Wheeler facility is the 25MW site, Aleria's US compute would sit behind an interconnection Bitari has requested. Bitari, a Texas bitcoin host, filed in September to raise $30 million against a 255MW Xcel interconnection request that still hinges on a Southwest Power Pool load study.

Aleria is UAE-based and sells sovereign AI to governments and enterprises, either from its own data centers or on-premises for the customer. The report does not detail Aleria's existing footprint or the UAE facility that will host the Vera Rubin racks.

Aleria CEO Eric Leandri said the sovereign AI structure is already live in the UAE running national workloads and framed the new GPUs as an expansion of capacity already in service.

DDN's high-performance storage architecture supports both deployments, the report says.
