The Chatterjee Group, founded in 1989, is a New York-headquartered private equity and industrial holding group with more than $4 billion in deployed capital across petrochemicals, life sciences, technology, financial services and real estate. Local press reports, cited by Data Center Dynamics, say Cortex will use the group's existing land parcels.
Cortex plans to source 51% of its energy from green sources, according to Data Center Dynamics. The 51% target has to be met site by site. Power procurement at the first location will be the earliest evidence of how quickly the 2 GW target converts into operating capacity.
