Allocators underwriting Virginia grid capacity can separate 12 GW of signed electric service agreements from the 54.9 GW pipeline, about 22% of the total. Those agreements are committed load; the remainder is demand still working through contracting.

Chief financial officer Steven Ridge said Dominion added more than 6 GW of contracts since the end of last year, up from more than 5 GW in the prior quarter.

Net income rose 15% year on year, including a $137 million increase tied to the 2025 rate increase at Dominion's Virginia subsidiary.

The merger with NextEra Energy is still moving through regulatory approvals. Governor Abigail Spanberger conditioned her approval on a six-year residential base electric rate freeze, tripling monthly customer bill credits to $29 and stronger clean energy and workforce commitments, as Private Infrastructure Daily previously reported. Chief Executive Bob Blue said he is 'looking forward' to the Virginia State Corporation Commission's first evidentiary hearing on the merger, scheduled for later this month.
