FP Transitions says RIA M&A could set a record in 2026

Echelon Partners counted 125 wealth deals in the third quarter, the second-busiest on record.

30%Increase in FP Transitions' pipeline this year

At a glance

  1. The valuation and succession planning firm, based in Portland, Oregon, logged 100 new opportunities in the last 100 days, a company record.
  2. Its pipeline is up 30% this year, Godes said.
  3. For owners weighing a sale, the drivers Godes cited amount to a checklist: aging advisors, no succession plan, a growth plateau, and founders tired of acting as head of HR, compliance and IT.
