The Edward Fitzpatrick Group, led by managing director Jim Edwards, left Raymond James for Janney Montgomery Scott with $3.5 billion in client assets, WealthManagement.com first reported.

Janney, based in Philadelphia, reported $110 billion in regulatory assets under management in its June 30 Form ADV filing. The Houston book equals about 3% of that total, but the filing predates the move, so the incoming assets are not included.

For advisors weighing a similar platform move, the undisclosed transition terms are the open due-diligence question. The five-person team averages $700 million per advisor.

Janney's next Form ADV filing would be the first to include the addition.
