Joe Borgese, CFP, of Contour Wealth Management in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, joined LPL Financial's broker-dealer and registered investment advisor platforms from Cetera, reporting about $390 million in assets, LPL said Nov. 3.

The practice sits outside Philadelphia and works with educators, medical professionals, business owners and multigenerational families, in some cases three generations of the same family. Lindsey Borgese, CFP, helps manage the office, and Diana C. Dugan, an Enrolled Agent, supports the team alongside administrative staff Brian Christman, Cheryl Dietz and Karen Walla. Joe Borgese started in financial services in 1990, working in banking before moving to the corporate side of the industry.

Moves Wire records 36 moves involving LPL in the past 12 months, 29 advisors joining and six leaving. The most recent before this one, on Oct. 30, brought Anchor Financial Partners, a six-person team with $525 million in client assets, from Northwestern Mutual.

Contour's $390 million is about 0.05% of the $819.1 billion in regulatory assets LPL reported in its Oct. 13 Form ADV filing. That ratio is the arithmetic an advisor comparing platforms runs on a book this size.

"Our clients' lives don't move in a straight line, and their financial plans shouldn't be static either," Borgese said in the release. The firm takes its name from contour lines on a map, which the release said reflects the idea that each person's path is different.
