KKR FS Income Trust Select honors all withdrawal requests despite demand topping 5% cap

The non-traded BDC did not disclose a redemption amount, while Endowus and CVC launched a European private credit strategy for Singapore and Hong Kong investors.

At a glance

  1. The trust gave no dollar figure for the payout, which leaves the size of the redemption queue unknown—a 5% cap makes the ceiling visible but not what flowed through it.
  2. On the other side of the wealth private-credit market, money was still being raised, with Endowus and CVC launching a European private credit strategy for accredited and professional investors in Singapore and Hong Kong and positioning it as an alternative to US-focused credit strategies.
  3. With one non-traded BDC processing outflows against a quarterly cap and another distribution partnership opening a new subscription pipeline, the pairing is a snapshot of a market running in two directions at once.

The first quarterly redemption test of the private-credit liquidity gate cleared without a gate: KKR FS Income Trust Select, a non-traded business development company, met every withdrawal request in its quarterly repurchase window even though demand came in narrowly above the fund's 5% quarterly limit.

The trust gave no dollar figure for the payout, which leaves the size of the redemption queue unknown—a 5% cap makes the ceiling visible but not what flowed through it. What the account does show is that the repurchase mechanism cleared all requests, at least for this quarter, rather than prorating or deferring them.

On the other side of the wealth private-credit market, money was still being raised, with Endowus and CVC launching a European private credit strategy for accredited and professional investors in Singapore and Hong Kong and positioning it as an alternative to US-focused credit strategies. PWD's tracking shows the CVC-Endowus launch and the KKR repurchase update were logged the same day.

With one non-traded BDC processing outflows against a quarterly cap and another distribution partnership opening a new subscription pipeline, the pairing is a snapshot of a market running in two directions at once. The redemption queue and the subscription pipeline are the two ends of the same interval-style product cycle, once demand cools in one strategy and sponsors look for it in another.

For advisors, the distinction is practical. A fund that honors every request in a quarter when demand tops its cap tells a different liquidity story than one that prorates, but the missing dollar amount matters just as much: without it, an advisor cannot tell whether the excess was small or large, and the trust's statement leaves that question open.

The Endowus-CVC launch also shifts geography, giving Singapore and Hong Kong distributors a non-US option in a product category that has often been US-heavy, even as one non-traded BDC clears a cap-topping redemption request.

The narrow overage is itself the detail to watch. Had demand stayed under 5%, the quarter would have been routine; instead it crossed the threshold and the fund still paid in full, an outcome that may reassure advisors whose clients hold similar interval-style private credit funds or may simply mean the manager had enough cash to avoid a gate—the coverage does not say which, and the absent dollar figure keeps both readings alive.

The next test is whether the redemption queue recurs and whether the trust will disclose a number if it does; for now, the only verifiable part of the story is that the cap was crossed and no one was prorated.
