Modera Wealth Management, a $20 billion RIA based in Westwood, N.J., has launched Mira, a proprietary AI platform built over two years with OnTrade. Mira connects advisor workflows and systems beneath an AI intelligence and orchestration layer; OnTrade supplies the digital agents that help advisors with planning, proposals and investment research.

OnTrade describes itself as an AI-native operating platform and data interface for wealth management firms and was founded by former Pro.com executives. Within Mira, Modera's own data drives the business insights, surfaced opportunities and scenario evaluations the system produces for advisors. The two-year build included investment in operational and technology leadership, data restructuring, and data and AI governance, according to WealthManagement.com.

President Joe McCuine said in a statement: "By bringing our data and workflows together in a governed environment, Mira can help our teams respond more quickly, work more effectively and deliver a more custom experience for clients." He added that the integrated approach should appeal to firms "that have seen limited benefits from adopting individual AI tools without a broader enterprise strategy."

Mira has been available since July 2026. McCuine led the build alongside Modera's technology team. An internal working group will review and validate the data that feeds the platform.

Modera says Mira will also support its acquisition strategy, as new advisors consolidate their data onto a common platform. Whether Mira shortens conversion work is unconfirmed; the platform has been running for roughly three months.

Connecticut Wealth Management, a $5.2 billion RIA, hired Subatomic in a five-year partnership to build an AI operating system that unifies its data and deploys AI co-workers under human supervision. Mercer Global Advisors released Aspen 2.0 in July, the second generation of its proprietary operating system, after about a year and a half of development. Modera's arrangement is a hybrid: it did the data work itself and bought the agent layer on top.
