Rezolv's 192 MW Romanian wind farm enters trial operation

Construction risk is gone. The power-purchase terms that would price the asset are not in the public record.

At a glance

  1. Trial operation is the stage after construction and before commercial service, when the project must prove it can put power on the grid.
  2. The public record stops at the milestone.
  3. Private Infrastructure Daily has noted the same gap three times this week: a Tohoku Electric wind PPA with a corporate buyer but no disclosed terms; an Atome solar plan in Paraguay without offtake details; an APA wind-battery project in Queensland where the paywall cut off the numbers.

Rezolv has moved a 192 MW wind project in Romania into trial operation, according to Renewables Now. Trial operation is the stage after construction and before commercial service, when the project must prove it can put power on the grid. It is the last major technical hurdle before revenues begin.

The public record stops at the milestone. Renewables Now's item names no site, no turbine supplier, no lenders, no equity structure, and no power purchase agreement. A transition capital investor needs those terms to tell whether the output is locked into a power contract or left to merchant prices.

The headlines arrive with the money terms left out.

Trial operation, with the revenue terms still unstated

For allocators, the one-line update is genuine: construction is finished and the turbines turn. Trial operation confirms the asset exists; it says nothing about who pays for the power, for how long, or at what price. Wind valuations ride on the revenue contract, not the turbine. Until those terms are public, treat this as a project milestone with its economics still unstated.
