Seaya raised €600 million at the first close of Seaya Nova, a European growth fund that will write €20 million to €50 million checks into Series B to D rounds, according to HedgeCo News.

The €600 million came in about six months, with the European Investment Fund backing the vehicle under the European Tech Champions Initiative. The program, an EIB Group initiative aimed at Europe's growth-stage funding gap, anchored the close alongside institutional investors, corporates and family offices.

Seaya Nova is led by Seaya founder Beatriz González and Vinoth Jayakumar, who joins as managing partner. The fund targets European technology businesses with proven models and durable economics, and sits alongside Seaya Ventures at early stage and Seaya Andromeda in sustainability. Jayakumar's European growth record includes Revolut, Wise, Thought Machine and ICEYE, HedgeCo News reported.

For allocators, the European Investment Fund anchor does not replace ordinary terms; they will still need Seaya Nova's fee schedule and minimum commitment to compare it with other European growth vehicles.

Seaya raised €300 million for the 2024 final close of Andromeda and is opening a London office to sit alongside its Madrid headquarters. The firm was founded in 2013. HedgeCo News, citing EU-Startups, put this year's European growth-stage closes and raises at about €2.31 billion including Seaya Nova.
