mika reports more than 750 corporate customers, up from around 400 at the start of 2026. The company operates as Get Mika GmbH, founded in 2022 and repositioned in 2024.

Its software reads receipts, does the bookkeeping, files advance VAT returns and prepares year-end accounts for small German companies, with accountants reviewing the books. mika pitches itself as an alternative to an outside tax firm rather than a tool that feeds one — a distinction that matters where ties to a Steuerberater are traditionally sticky, the report noted.

Revenue passed €1 million annualised in July 2026 with monthly growth above 20% for several months. Pricing starts at €49 a month for bookkeeping and €99 for accounting and financial statements.

Smedvig Ventures is the venture arm of the Norwegian Smedvig family office, based in Stavanger and London. The family business dates to 1915, has fourth-generation leadership and reports $2.4 billion in assets across real estate, venture capital, private equity, long-only equity, hedge funds and fixed income. The €6 million funds growth and further development of the AI system, according to the report.
