Crescent BDC's Hall adds president title as Barrios exits

The nontraded BDC consolidates leadership in Eric Hall as its net assets approach $549 million and a fresh $3 billion offering runs.

At a glance

  1. The board accepted Raymond Barrios's resignation as president, effective Aug. 10, and a day later appointed Eric Hall, the fund's CEO, to also serve as president.
  2. Barrios, a managing director at Crescent Capital Group who joined in 2008 from Jefferies, had been president since the fund's founding.
  3. The title change lands while the fund's numbers move in opposite directions.

AltsWire reported Friday that Crescent Private Credit Income Corp. has consolidated its top two roles. The board accepted Raymond Barrios's resignation as president, effective Aug. 10, and a day later appointed Eric Hall, the fund's CEO, to also serve as president. The departure did not involve any disagreement with management, the board, or the company's operations, policies, or practices, the company said; the nontraded BDC is externally managed by an affiliate of Crescent Capital Group.

Barrios, a managing director at Crescent Capital Group who joined in 2008 from Jefferies, had been president since the fund's founding. He stays on as co-chair of the investment committee at Crescent Cap NT Advisors, the fund's adviser. Hall has held the CEO title since 2023. He arrived at Crescent in 2007 from Lehman Brothers' investment banking division. He also serves as co-CEO, director, and chairman of CCS IX Portfolio Holdings, an affiliated BDC.

The title change lands while the fund's numbers move in opposite directions. Net assets were about $549 million as of May 31. That was up from $187.9 million a year earlier. The fund replaced its earlier registration with a $3 billion continuous public offering in April. NAV per share has slipped to $26.26 on June 30. It was $27.06 at the end of 2025. The second-quarter tender offer produced zero valid redemption requests. AltsWire notes several larger nontraded BDCs have contended with elevated redemptions this year. The fund paid a June distribution of $0.21 on Class I shares. That amount included a $0.045 special component. The special piece made up more than a fifth of the total.

Hall now holds both top titles. Barrios stays on as co-chair of the investment committee. With zero valid redemption requests, the fund can keep accumulating assets. The NAV slide is what may make that harder.
