Advisors with CCAP in client accounts get the figures after the close on Nov. 9 and can hear management discuss them at noon Eastern the next day by webcast or toll-free line. That is the only scheduled public window into how the BDC's portfolio and borrowing costs moved during the September quarter before the next client review cycle.
Crescent BDC is externally managed by Crescent Cap Advisors LLC, a subsidiary of Crescent Capital Group LP. Crescent is a global credit investment manager with approximately $53 billion of assets under management, according to the release. It is headquartered in Los Angeles and is part of SLC Management, which the release describes as an institutional alternatives and traditional asset management business.
The BDC's stated aim is to maximize stockholder total return in the form of current income and capital appreciation by providing capital solutions to middle-market companies with sound business fundamentals and strong growth prospects. Crescent itself invests in below-investment-grade credit through marketable and privately originated debt, including senior bank loans, high-yield bonds, and private senior, unitranche and junior debt. The BDC has elected to be regulated as a business development company under the Investment Company Act of 1940.
The chief financial officer of Crescent Private Credit Income resigned on Oct. 14, the second exit at the firm since August, as Alternatives previously reported. The Nov. 9 release will be CCAP's first quarterly report since then.
