What it does
Boosted.ai makes Alfa, an AI investment research platform. Alfa Pro is aimed at analysts, portfolio managers and RIAs; Alfa Prime serves institutional teams; Alfa Powered and the Alfa Platform API let brokerages and other platforms embed it; a consumer version serves individual investors.
Alfa watches a watchlist or set of holdings for earnings, filings and market-moving news across about 150,000 sources and, when something material happens, writes a structured brief on what happened, what changed and why it may matter. Every claim links to its source filing, transcript or article. Users can ask follow-up questions, run comparisons and keep coverage context over time; Alfa Pro can be started free without an implementation project.
Boosted.ai is a Toronto-based company launched in 2017 by Joshua Pantony, Jon Dorando and Nicholas Abe. In November 2024 it raised a USD 15 million round from investors including Spark Capital, Portage Ventures, Royal Bank of Canada and HarbourVest.
