Back-office automation for Canadian independent portfolio management firms: onboarding, KYC monitoring and audit trail
CAresponsive.aiNot yet confirmed by the company
Responsive is back-office software built for independent portfolio management firms in Canada. Its buyers are the advisors, operations staff and compliance teams at those firms, and the product is designed around Canadian custodians and the rules of CIRO, the CSA and provincial securities regulators.
The platform handles client onboarding through document generation, e-signature and automated account opening. It monitors accounts, KYC review dates and portfolio positions, raising items such as expiring KYC, overdue annual reviews and large cash balances to the responsible person, and it assembles meeting preparation. Every client interaction, account change and generated document is kept in a timestamped audit trail.
The operating company is Responsive Financial Technologies Inc. The firm says it has built software with independent Canadian firms for more than ten years and holds a SOC 2 Type II report. Its site lists connections including NBIN, Fidelity, Schwab, Apex Clearing, Salesforce, Wealthbox, Plaid and DocuSign. Pricing is by demo.
