Julie Littlechild of Absolute Engagement joins host Sean Walters to discuss the firm's annual survey of 1,000 high-net-worth investors and what it says about how clients view advisor credentials. The episode covers the gap between clients valuing advanced certifications and many not understanding the letters, plus how advisors can explain credentials around client needs and how credentials relate to referrals and client confidence.

  1. 87% of surveyed HNW investors said advanced professional credentials were somewhat or very important, rising to 91% among those with $5 million or more.
  2. More than half said they do not understand what their advisor's letters mean.
  3. Clients who understood their advisor's credentials were more likely to feel confident about their financial future.
  4. About a third of advisors said their credentials matter as much or more now than when earned, versus 64% of clients.
