RIA custodian with banking, lending and retirement plan services
USPart of a larger companyaxosadvisorservices.comNot yet confirmed by the company
Axos Advisor Services is a custodian for registered investment advisers that also offers banking products through its affiliate, Axos Bank. It serves RIA firms of all sizes, including advisors moving to independence to start their own firms. The service is provided by Axos Clearing LLC, a FINRA member broker-dealer that handles back-office work for advisers.
Advisors manage accounts on the Liberty platform, which the company built for RIAs. Money Manager X-Change, or MMX, runs on Liberty and lets advisors place several third-party managers, models or strategies in one unified managed account, report performance by model, account or household, and set fees by strategy. Through Axos Bank, advisors can offer clients checking, securities-backed lines of credit, mortgages and an insured deposit program, and firms can borrow to fund acquisitions or succession plans. A retirement unit provides recordkeeping, administration and custody for 401(k), 403(b), 457, cash balance and defined benefit plans, along with participant notices and fee disclosures.
Axos lists technology partners on its site, including Advent Portfolio Exchange, Advyzon, Albridge, Blueleaf, Orion, Redtail, Riskalyze and Trust & Will. The business is part of the Axos Financial group.
