Clear Street

Clear Street runs a cloud-based clearing, custody, financing and trade execution platform for broker-dealers, family offices, hedge funds, proprietary traders, ETF issuers, asset managers and active individual traders. The company says it has about 3,800 clients and more than 800 employees.

For broker-dealers, Clear Street acts as clearing, carrying or executing broker on agency, omnibus or fully disclosed arrangements. It offers direct market access, smart order routing, algorithms, a high-touch desk for block trades and 24x6 electronic execution, plus portfolio margin and stock loan on the same ledger. For family offices, it combines clearing, custody, financing and multi-asset trading in one real-time account view across equities, options and futures, with outsourced trading and consolidated statements for principals. Clear Street Studio is its portfolio, trading and risk management system, showing exposures, margin and profit and loss. The firm also runs an investment banking unit, a private markets pre-IPO access program and a trading app for individual traders.

Clear Street LLC is a FINRA and SIPC member broker-dealer and a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant, with a UK affiliate regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It is headquartered at 4 World Trade Center in New York. The company says it has raised $1.8 billion in capital.
