What it does
Innovayte is a custody and clearing provider for independent registered investment advisers, introducing broker-dealers and hybrid advisors. It was formed in 2023 when Equity Advisor Solutions and ETC Brokerage Services, both affiliated with self-directed IRA custodian Equity Trust Company, combined their advisor business under a new brand.
The firm pairs its custody and clearing platform with assigned client service specialists and business-planning support for growing practices. Clearing, custody and brokerage services are carried out by its affiliate ETC Brokerage Services, LLC. In 2024 it announced a partnership with Advyzon to offer a combined technology platform and model marketplace to its advisors.
Innovayte is based in Dallas, Texas, and is led by CEO Cat Davies, formerly of Hightower, Fidelity and Charles Schwab. At launch it said it was targeting RIAs with roughly $100 million to $800 million in client assets. The business traces its roots to the brokerage firm Richard Desich founded in 1974.
